My Story
Life flows with an elemental rhythm, the rhythm of tranquility.
In the intricate tapestry of life, diverse threads intertwine weaving a beautiful and
complex pattern that unfolds with every moment and experience. Some are
passed through generations, some are fragments gathered and cherished.
I grew up in a musical family. I have filled my canvas with moments that are full of
surprises in the world of music and photography. I am blessed to have a flourishing
music career which spans over three decades. The love for wilderness and the
free spirit of the forests attract me no end. Wilderness inspires me to create
magic in my music. Leaving the concrete jungles of the city behind, the sound of
birds chirping, scent of the Earth, rustling of leaves exhilarate me. I am intrigued
and awestruck at the wonders of nature’s ecosystem.
I feel blessed to have witnessed and captured these moments for eternity and
pass it on to the next-gen. It’s my humble effort to preserve and protect our
forests and wildlife by donating the funds collected through my prints available in
the SHOP section on this website.
It’s only when you understand that you begin to respect. And what you respect,
you protect and love. I hope you are able to enjoy these visuals and appreciate
the delicate beauty of nature’s creations around us just as much as I enjoyed

Amitabh Bachchan pens foreword for singer Roopkumar Rathod's book on wildlife photography
Amitabh Bachchan has written the foreword for veteran singer-composer Roopkumar Rathod’s recently launched coffee table book titled “Wild Voyage”. Rathod made his debut in the world of photography along with about 20 other artists through a photo exhibition titled Meraki which featured the wide range of wildlife photographs clicked in various parts of the world.

the sands of majestic Rajasthan. A young tabla maestro
who learnt and built his future alongside the illustrious Late Pt. Chaturbhuj Rathod, his father and Guru. Roopkumar Rathod gave performance after mighty
performance making waves in the world of Indian music.
When the young musical prodigy and his earthly sound
took a turn towards Ghazals, devotees of the music
industry felt the emergence of a new era.
The early 1990s marked his entry into cinema, where his
powerful voice and passionate renditions resonated with
millions.
His voice has traversed a diverse range of genres,
effortlessly captivating
listeners across generations.

A lot of research has shown that, although we live in houses or buildings in the city, we are still cavemen at heart. The basic wiring in our brains and how we interact are the same as thousands of years ago. Nature is where we still belong. That's why we all enjoy a walk in the woods, gazing at the stars, watching a sunset, being on a beach, or going camping. Roopkumar Rathodji is a wildlife photographer. He has a distinct love for all living creatures and is drawn to forests. The wind whispering through the trees tells him a tale, that he listens to intently. In his maiden book "Wild Voyage" he shares his experiences with you through his beautiful photographs. I thank Rathodji for sharing his experiences with us through his superb photography.
